Shows you Shouldn’t Miss Out on Comedy Central

What other way to relax after a tiring day than to watch all your favorite comedy shows on Comedy Central? It is one of the most popular comedy channels in the United States due to its vast library of shows that would have you in stitches and gasping for air as you laugh. You can watch Comedy Central on your TV, provided that your channel lineup includes it.

If you’re looking for extensive cable lineup options, then you could check out one of the best varieties in channels with Xfinity TV that provides you a collection to watch from. And you could get a variety that caters to all TV watching needs when the mood hits.

Check out this list for when you plan to tune in to Comedy Central, these are some of the funniest shows you should make sure you don’t miss out on:

1. South Park

Only watch this show if you are okay with profanity and dark humor. South Park started airing back in 1997 and ever since, it has been loved by people all over the world. While the show always has people laughing their lungs out, there are also certain instances where fans are left in absolute shock because of how dark the jokes tend to get. One of the best elements of the show is how it has a satirical take on many social topics and addresses topics with a dash of comedy and taunts. Back in 1999, it was also turned into a movie called South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut and held a Guinness World Record for the most swear words in an animated movie in 2001.

South Park has received multiple awards which include 5 Primetime Emmy and a Peabody Award. Last year, the show was renewed to air until 2027 and it is expected that it will also feature multiple films on Paramount+

2. Workaholics

Workaholics is the kind of sitcom that has an out-of-the-box concept behind it. The show is about three friends who are also college dropouts. They live together and work as telemarketers and we see their day-to-day routine as they try to find a balance between their work and personal lives. We get to see how non-serious they tend to get and how they are always in the mood to party.

In the show, all three of them are very much into drinking and pranking each other, the kind of shenanigans you would see in close friends. The show is mostly set in either their house where they interact with a lot of people or in their office cubicle where they have a hard time trying to blend in with their boss and coworkers.

Workaholics is the kind of show that motivates you to take some time out for yourself too so that you don’t end up indulging yourself too much in work and manage to find a work-life balance.

3. Key & Peele

There are certain times when you don’t feel like watching an entire episode of a sitcom and rather wish to watch something shorter and funnier. That is when sketches by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele come in handy. Both of these “masters of comedy” have co-created a comedy series called Key & Peele. One of the key features of the series is how they tend to target societal issues such as awkward social situations, race relations, and ethnic stereotypes.

One of their most famous sketches includes an intimidating substitute teacher named Mr. Garvey who has a hard time pronouncing his students’ names right and he is hell-bent that he is pronouncing the names right and all the students are trying to fool him by correcting him. Key & Peele has 5 seasons that were loved by people all over the world. It even went on to win a Peabody Award and Primetime Emmy, just like South Park.

Chappelle’s Show

The comedian known for controversy, Dave Chappelle, stars in this sketch comedy series called Chappelle’s Show which began airing back in 2003 and was highly successful. The best part about any comedy show is that it allows you to tackle societal problems with an addition of comedy and a few laughs. That is exactly what Chappelle’s Show did, it targeted social problems such as gun violence, prostitution, the entertainment industry, and drugs.

Some very famous sketches on Chappelle’s Show include Charlie Murphy’s True Hollywood Story, When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong, and Racial Draft. Dave Chappelle created a couple of characters that he played himself and this is one of the aspects that made his show stand out from the rest. The sad part is, that Dave Chappelle suddenly left the show during season 3’s production and then he quit the show, which left fans shocked and disappointed.
